𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚! Not only do the natural disasters cause physical and material impacts, but also psychological-social impacts for the victims. In respond to that, built-environment has an essential role in the trauma recovery process through the concept of healing architecture and environment. This concept has principles in designing, such as the aesthetic, functional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs, which can help the trauma recovery process for the victims of natural disasters. Raising this issue, Archevent 2021 will hold a design competition "𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲: 𝐀 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞" Are we ready to restore their hopes through a sense of tranquility and comfort with built-environment?
